Disclosure Statement Regarding the Protection of Your Personal Data Pursuant to Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK")
As PTS Language Academy (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), we have prepared this Disclosure Statement to explain which personal data we will process and for what purposes. We hereby declare that we will process your personal data, as specified below, under all circumstances:
- In accordance with the law and principles of honesty,
- Maintaining the accuracy and up-to-dateness of the personal data you share,
- For specific, clear, and lawful purposes,
- In a manner that is linked, limited, and proportionate to the purpose of processing,
- Storing and storing it for the period stipulated in the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose of processing.
Furthermore, to protect your privacy, we have adopted various privacy principles for your personal information and data security within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law.
What is Your Personal Data?
Personal data includes your identity (name and surname, date of birth, Turkish Republic ID number), address, telephone number, e-mail address, recorded videos and photographs of you, image and audio recordings, and any other personally identifiable information. This is understood as follows.
What is the Purpose and Legal Reason for Processing Your Personal Data?
Your Personal Data may be processed by our Platform or by a natural and/or legal person appointed by our Platform, for the purposes specified in the conditions below.
Your personal data is processed with your explicit consent for the purposes of ensuring your and your family's participation in meetings, invitations, meetings, and fairs organized by or in which our Platform participates, including meetings, invitations, and other events organized by our Platform. We also process your personal data online to inform you, send you mail, communicate by phone, or any other means of communication when necessary, fulfill our legal obligations, and make reservations on your behalf when necessary. In addition, processing may be carried out in accordance with the requirements established by regulatory authorities, as required or mandated by legal regulations, and to ensure the fulfillment of legal obligations set forth in the KVKK.
To Whom Can Your Personal Data Be Transferred?
Your Personal Data Processed may be transferred to:
- Persons or organizations permitted by the Turkish Commercial Code, the Turkish Code of Obligations, and other legislative provisions,
- Legally authorized public institutions and organizations, administrative authorities, and legal authorities,
- Real or legal persons from whom we receive services and collaborate for product/service comparison, analysis, evaluation, advertising, and the achievement of the above-mentioned purposes, program partner institutions and organizations, institutions with which we have agreements for sending messages we send to our customers, and cargo companies that deliver online orders to you, in accordance with the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of Law No. 6698.
- To natural persons or legal entities engaged in transportation activities, including airlines and bus companies,
- To natural persons or legal entities engaged in accommodation activities, including hotels and guest houses,
- To natural persons or legal entities engaged in organizational activities,
- To institutions and organizations designated to ensure the fulfillment of legal obligations,
- To our lawyers or legal advisors to exercise our right of defense,
- To the relevant authorities if we receive a duly legal request to transfer your personal data.
What are your rights regarding the processing of your personal data?
As a personal data subject, in accordance with Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law, you can send your requests regarding the implementation of the law and any requests for information regarding the processing of your personal data by sending an email signed with your secure electronic signature or mobile signature to info@ptslanguageacademy.com. Additionally, if you have an email address that has been previously provided to us and is registered in our system, you can also submit your requests to us through this email address. Pursuant to Article 5 of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles for Applications to the Data Controller, your name and surname must be included in your application, and if your application method is written, your signature. If you are a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, your T.R. It is mandatory to include your identity number; your passport number if you are a foreigner or your identity number (if applicable); your residence or workplace address for notification; your email address, telephone and fax numbers for notification, if applicable; and the subject of your request.
Applications made within this scope will be finalized as soon as possible, within a maximum of 30 days, and free of charge. However, if the process requires an additional cost, a fee as determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. In this context, we would like to state that you, as a personal data owner, have the following rights:
1. To learn whether personal data has been processed,
2. To request information regarding personal data if it has been processed,
3. To learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is being used in accordance with its purpose,
4. To know the third parties to whom personal data has been transferred, domestically or abroad,
5. To request correction of personal data if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
6. To request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons requiring processing no longer exist, despite the data being processed in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law and other relevant laws.
7. To request that the actions taken pursuant to paragraphs 5 and 6 be notified to third parties to whom personal data has been transferred.
8. To object to the analysis of processed data exclusively through automated systems, leading to a detrimental result.
9. To request compensation for damages incurred due to unlawful processing of personal data.
Despite the data being processed in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law and other relevant laws, if the reasons requiring processing no longer exist, your personal data will be deleted, destroyed, or anonymized by us, either ex officio or upon your request.
